The new type of training wheels were developed by an engineer for his son who refused to ride a bicycle after he fell while attempting to ride without training wheels.

To get a child to ride using the Training Wings simply find a safe area at least 60 feet by 100. Then tilt the bike, with the child on it, to each side slowly with both of the child's feet on the pedals. Show and tell the child she cannot fall. Tell the child that when she is ready, she needs to pedal as hard as she can and hold the handle bar straight. When she is ready, gently roll the bike away from you, and immediately, loudly and repeatedly ask her to pedal hard and keep the handle bar straight. Most kids begin riding immediately.
